Before and after sealed crawl space

Crawl Space Encapsulation

Crawl space encapsulation - also known as closed or sealed crawl spaces - have slowly become a standard for homeowners, especially in the humid climate of North Carolina.

When Brad started working on homes almost 20 years ago, this was still a fairly new and misunderstood area of home improvement. Today, we are more educated in the negative effects of vented crawl spaces and how that musty, humid, and often moldy air is not contained below the home but is actually being pulled into and circulating throughout the air we breathe day and night. Because of this "stack effect", an unhealthy crawl space directly effects the overall health of the interior of your home.

Buckling floors, damp rooms, musty smells and odors as well as rodent infestation are are some of the telltale signs that you should have your crawl space looked at. Most of these issues can be resolved with crawl space encapsulation which closes your vents, taps into your ventilation system, and creates a controlled environment beneath your home.

Improved air quality and increased energy efficiency are additional positive results of a closed crawl space as well, offering homeowners peace of mind and increased home value.
